SPLENDOR
Hellen Keller had it
right when she said that “the best and most beautiful things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” That is the
case when admiring Olivia Culpo’s
beauty, a world queen, whose enchanting smile is unavoidable, something very
characteristic of her. A native of Rhode
Island, Olivia is the daughter of
a father with Italian descent and a mother with Italian and Irish heritage, and
the middle of five children. Olivia’s
academic preparation is evident when hearing her express her views on many
different issues and what also comes across quite clearly is the passion with
which she stands for her convictions. An accomplished cello player, which she
has studied since she was in the second grade, Olivia has also studied voice; and as a cellist played in Boston Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, and in England.
After
winning the Miss USA 2012 pageant,
the student from Boston University
put her studies on pause to take on her duties as Miss USA, and then as Miss
Universe 2012, a role which has taken her all over the world. LATINO SHOW
MAGAZINE had the pleasure of asking this beauty queen some questions about the
pageant and about herself; this is what she shared with us:
Congratulations
from everyone at LATINO SHOW MAGAZINE for the role you played as Miss Universe! How did you, your friends
and family adapt to your taking on this responsibility?
The
responsibility of being Miss Universe
was an adjustment I was happy to make. To travel, give back, and inspire so
many young women around the world was an experience I only dreamed of being
able to have.
What made
you join the pageant and how did you prepare for it?
I entered
the Miss Rhode Island pageant in 2012
when I was a sophomore at the University. This was my first pageant and I
entered on a whim over the summer because I thought it was an opportunity to
enhance my acting skills. Within 15 months, I went from being a student at Boston University, to being Miss USA and then Miss Universe. That was a serious whirlwind!
How did
you deal with the pressure that came with being Miss Universe?
Even in
the most tiring moments, I always tried to look at Miss Universe as an
opportunity I needed to be grateful for. I avoided feeling under pressure by
concentrating on how amazing it was to have been chosen for this position.
Give us
some backstage scoop. Did everyone get along? Did you make friends you still
stay in touch with?
I love my
roommate, Renee Ayris Miss Australia 2012! She was amazing.
There are a lot of very nice girls, and then other girls you may not want to
spend too much time with. It’s kind of like high school. Every girl is
different.
Do you
think you've grown since you entered the pageant?
Yes.
Experiencing so many different cultures and people has definitely broadened my
perspective on a lot of things and inspired me to give back to those around the
world who are less fortunate, maybe even adopt some day!
Who do
you consider to be the most beautiful person? Why?
I
consider the most beautiful person to be someone with a positive outlook on
life. The person who can put a smile on everyone’s face is always the most
beautiful person in the room to me.
Tell us
about Olivia as a child, what was she like? Has she changed much since then?
Growing
up, I was the middle child of a big family and definitely always trying to make
others laugh. I was also very serious about my school work and loved music,
especially playing the cello. I think
I still carry a lot of these characteristics with me.
What's
the biggest misconception about beauty pageants?
I think
people misconceive pageants as being based solely off of looks and physical
appearance. In reality, so much more is based off of the contestant’s
intelligence, inner beauty, and personality.
Who is
your role model?
I love Audrey Hepburn. I think she has a class
and grace that is hard to come by these days.
What has
been a big disappointment in your life to date?
A big
disappointment in my life was probably having to deal with college rejections.
I was so happy when I received my acceptance into Boston University but the time waiting was tough. But everyone
knows that with every disappointment, there’s a lesson to be learned. Every
bump in the road is there for a reason.
Tell us,
what is your beauty secret?
Exercise,
eat healthy, drink lots of water, and SMILE.
Now that
you've answered that one for the ladies, here's one for the boys: Is there a
lucky guy by your side or are you looking for Mr. Right?
I’m very
happy with my Mr. Right.

advice for aspiring beauty queens?
Don’t try
to be anyone other than yourself. You will attract others simply by being
confident in who you are.

Hellen Keller estaba correcta al decir que “lo mejor y las cosas
más hermosas del mundo no se pueden tocar o ser vistas. Se tienen que sentir
con el corazón.” Y este es el caso al admirar la belleza de Olivia Culpo, una reina mundial cuya
encantadora sonrisa es infalible; algo muy característico de ella. Oriunda de Rhode Island, Olivia es la del medio de 5 hermanos, su padre es de ascendencia
italiana y su madre de familia de origen italiano e irlandés. Su preparación
académica es evidente al escucharla expresar sus puntos de vista en diferentes
temas y lo que también transmite claramente es su pasión al defender sus
convicciones. Una hábil chelista quien aprendió a tocar este instrumento desde
que estaba en segundo grado de educación primaria. Olivia también ha estudiado canto; y tocó como chelista en el Boston Symphony Hall, en el Carnegie Hall, y en Inglaterra.
Después de ganar el reinado de Miss USA 2012, esta estudiante de la Universidad de Boston puso sus estudios
en pausa para asumir sus deberes como Miss
USA y después como Miss Universo 2012,
papel que la ha llevado por todo el mundo. LATINO SHOW MAGAZINE tuvo el placer
de hacerle unas preguntas a esta reina de belleza sobre el reinado y sobre su

Felicidades de parte de LATINO
SHOW MAGAZINE por tu papel como Miss
Universo! ¿Cómo se adaptaron tus amistades, tu familia y tú misma, al tomar
esta responsabilidad?
La responsabilidad de ser Miss Universo fue un ajuste que hice
alegremente. Viajar, devolverle a la comunidad, e inspirar a tantas chicas
alrededor del mundo fue una experiencia que siempre había soñado.
¿Qué te hizo concursar en el
reinado, y cómo te preparaste?
Yo entré al reinado de Miss Rhode Island en el 2012 en mi
segundo año de universidad. Este fue mi primer reinado y entré por ocurrencia
durante el verano, ya que pensé que sería una oportunidad para mejorar mis
habilidades de actuación. En un periodo de 15 meses pasé de ser una estudiante de
la Universidad de Boston, a ser Miss USA y después Miss Universo. Esto sí que fue un serio torbellino!
¿Cómo manejaste la presión que
implica el ser Miss Universo?
Aun en los momentos más
agotadores, siempre traté de ver a Miss
Universo como la oportunidad que necesitaba para sentirme agradecida. Evité
sentirme presionada concentrándome en lo maravilloso que era el haber sido
escogida para este puesto.
Danos una idea de cómo eran las
cosas detrás del escenario. ¿Se llevaban bien todas las candidatas? ¿Hiciste
alguna amistad con la que todavía te mantienes en contacto?
Yo adoro a mi compañera de
habitación, Renee Ayris, Miss Australia 2012! Ella fue
maravillosa. Hay bastantes chicas buenas, y también hay aquellas con la que tal
vez no quieres pasar mucho tiempo. Es como en la escuela secundaria. Cada chica
es diferente.
¿Crees que has madurado desde que
entraste al reinado?
Sí. Experimentar culturas y personalidades
diferentes definitivamente ha expandido mi perspectiva sobre muchas cosas y me
ha inspirado a devolverle a aquellos alrededor del mundo quienes no son tan
afortunados, y tal vez algún día adoptar!
¿A quién consideras la persona
más hermosa y por qué?
Considero que la persona más
bella es aquella con un punto de vista positivo sobre la vida. Aquella que
logra poner una sonrisa en el rostro de todos, es siempre la persona más
hermosa del cuarto, para mí.
Háblanos sobre Olivia de niña, ¿Cómo
era ella? ¿Ha cambiado mucho desde ese entonces?
Crecí siendo la mediana dentro de
una gran familia y definitivamente siempre tratando de hacerlos reír a todos.
También fui muy seria con mis estudios y amaba la música, especialmente tocar
el violonchelo. Creo que todavía
llevo muchas de esas características conmigo.
¿Cuál es el mayor concepto
erróneo acerca de los reinados de belleza?
Creo que la gente malinterpreta
los reinados al pensar que se basan solamente en el aspecto y la apariencia
física. En realidad, se basan mucho más en la inteligencia de la participante, en
su belleza interior, y en su personalidad.
¿Quién es tu modelo a seguir?
Yo adoro a Audrey Hepburn. Pienso que ella tiene una clase y una gracia muy
difíciles de encontrar hoy en día.
¿Cuál ha sido la mayor decepción
de tu vida hasta ahora?
Una gran decepción en mi vida fue
probablemente el tener que enfrentar los rechazos de las universidades. Estaba
tan feliz cuando recibí mi carta de entrada a la Universidad de Boston, mas la espera fue difícil. Pero todos
sabemos que con cada decepción hay una lección que se aprende. Cada obstáculo
en el camino está ahí por alguna razón.
Cuéntanos, ¿Cuál es el secreto de
tu belleza?
Hacer ejercicio, comer saludable,
tomar bastante agua, y SONREIR.
Ahora que has contestado una
pregunta para las damas, aquí está la de los caballeros: ¿Hay algún chico
afortunado o estás buscando a “Don Perfecto”?
Estoy muy feliz con “Don Perfecto”.

THE
EVOLUTION OF VALLENATO
A new
form from the piano.
Like most musical Latin American genres, Vallenato
music has evolved through time, as is the case of the Argentinian tango, the Mexican ranchera, and the Dominican merengue. So, I’ll dare say that vallenato had an era shaped by the way
in which its interpreters performed it, like in the case of the vallenato of
the minstrels, known because its musical instruments, the caja, the guacharaca, and
the accordion, which accompanied the
voices of whoever played the latter instrument. The vallenato of this epoch was narrative, full of anecdotes and women
were sung to with true love and sentiment.
But this folk and indigenous rhythm is vulnerable
suggestion, as demonstrated by Alejandro
Zuleta, who during the last few years has been exploring the traditional vallenato of the accordion and has
translated it, with sweet melodies to the piano. Alejandro is from Bogota;
a legacy of the Zuleta family –a long
list of celebrity vallenato musicians
from Colombia- and son of Emiro Zuleta, one
of the most prolific composers of his generation.
Alejandro is a musician in every sense of the word, and knows
that music is a language and even with the introduction of certain instruments,
vallenato continues to maintain its
narrative form and that will always be the most romantic way of singing with
true love and sentiment to a woman. His own compositions, Afro-Colombian
rhythms, avant-garde jazz, freestyle
improve and live electronic music, serve as starting points for his
explorations. He has been the development of an electronic interface to process
the piano, next to Dafna Neftaly, one
of the most relevant voices in New York in the electronic music scene.
All who’ve listened see in him a more playful, joyful
rhythm; with lyrics that transmit the true sentiment of the minstrels from the coast where vallenato predominates. In the meantime,
Alejandro continues working on his
projects, one of which is to record a CD with Hugo Carlos Granado.
Nowadays, Alejandro
continues to work on his goals and he knows that he has a long road ahead of
him, especially when he has the responsibility of maintaining the legacy of his
blood and last name.

Una
nueva forma desde el piano
La
música vallenata ha evolucionado a través del tiempo como lo han hecho la
mayoría de los géneros musicales latinoamericanos, tales son los casos del tango argentino, la ranchera mexicana y el merengue
dominicano. Así que hoy me atrevo a decir que el vallenato tuvo una época marcada por la forma de interpretación de sus
exponentes, el vallenato de los juglares por ejemplo, se identificó porque la caja, la guacharaca, y el acordeón,
acompañaban las voces de quienes tocaban este último instrumento. El vallenato de
esta época era narrativo, lleno de anécdotas y se le cantaba a la mujer con
verdadero amor y sentimiento.
Pero
este ritmo folklórico, autóctono, es vulnerable a cualquier propuesta, así lo
ha demostrado Alejandro Zuleta, quien
durante los últimos años ha estado explorando el vallenato del tradicional acordeón y lo ha traducido con las dulces
melodías del piano. Alejandro es bogotano;
legado de la familia de los Zuleta -una
larga lista de célebres músicos vallenatos colombianos- e hijo de Emiro Zuleta, uno de los compositores
más prolíficos de su generación.
Alejandro
es un músico en todo el sentido de la palabra, y sabe que la música es un
lenguaje y que aun con la introducción de ciertos instrumentos, el vallenato sigue conservando su forma
narrativa y que siempre será la forma más romántica de cantarle con verdadero
amor y sentimiento a la mujer. Sus propias composiciones, ritmos afro-colombianos,
jazz avant-garde, la improvisación
libre y la música electrónica en vivo, sirven como puntos de partida para sus
exploraciones. Él ha sido el desarrollo de una interfaz electrónica para
procesar el piano de la mano de Dafna
Neftalí, una de las voces más relevantes de Nueva York en la escena de la
música electrónica.
Quienes
lo han escuchado ven en él un ritmo más jocoso, más alegre; con letras que
trasmiten el verdadero sentimiento de los juglares
de la costa vallenata. Por el momento, Alejandro
sigue trabajando en sus proyectos entre los que menciona grabar un CD con Hugo Carlos Granado.
Hoy
en día, Alejandro sigue trabajando en
sus metas y sabe que el camino es largo, sobre todo, cuando se tiene la
responsabilidad de una descendencia de apellido y de sangre.

is a carnival,” used to sing Celia Cruz,
the Queen of Salsa while her
contagious rhythm evoked the desire for celebration of life, accomplishments
obtained through hard work, perseverance and dedication and from which there
are hundreds of extraordinary stories lingering around us; a world full of
unique unknown figures, all genuine and sincere and with a message to deliver,
a story to tell, a world to cross over to. It’s undeniable that a piece of us
stays in each article, in the same way that it’s inevitable for the inner
beauty of each of our guests to stand out in our pages. We come in this issue,
like a blossoming flower under the spring sun, and we invite you to fall in
love through our words and to dream in that special day of love where a wedding
becomes the symbol and celebration of an infinite love promise.
I
conclude with a very special invitation for you to join us on March 27, 2014 at
the LATINO SHOW MAGAZINE AWARDS 2014. But beyond an award ceremony, it is our

construction of a school for the kids of Nuquí,

“La vida es un carnaval”, cantaba Celia Cruz, la reina de la
salsa mientras su contagioso ritmo evocaba deseos de celebración por la
vida, por los éxitos obtenidos a base de esfuerzo, trabajo, perseverancia y dedicación
y de las cuales hay cientos de historias extraordinarias rondando por las
calles de nuestro alrededor; un mundo lleno de desconocidos personajes únicos,
genuinos y sinceros con un mensaje que llevar, un relato que contar y un mundo
por atravesar. Innegable que quede un pedacito de nosotros en cada artículo, de
la misma forma que es inevitable resaltar la belleza interna de cada uno de

FOR THE SPRINGTIME
Springtime
is about enjoying the simple pleasures of life; those things that surround us
constantly at this time of year, yet we fail to recognize and appreciate. The
sights and sounds of the season are nothing short of a blessing and an
affirmation of life and its renewal: milder weather, birds singing, flowers in
bloom, kids kicking a soccer ball, and of course, a glass of wine.
Spring
is filled with the flavors of green; and with so many things like broccoli,
asparagus and cauliflower on the table, the wines have to play along. It’s easy
to love “springtime” wines because after thinking hard about the deep, rich
wines of winter, one can lighten up on the wines. Naturally, springtime fare,
for the most part, calls for white and rosé wines.
One
tends to drink more white wine at this time of year; so back to the cellar,
temporarily, go the big, hearty reds. The Gigondas,
Barolos, and California Zinfandels will reappear in a month or so when the
barbecue gets fired up. In the meantime, indulge in Alsace or German dry Rieslings,
zesty New Zealand, South Africa and California Sauvignon Blancs or the aromatic Torrontés from Argentina.
This
is also an ideal time to try wines you might not be familiar with. Diversity is
the spice of life. It’s rather silly to only drink one type of wine just
because you’re familiar with it. Imagine eating the same dish every day or
reading the same book constantly; life would start to seem very dull, indeed!
Austrian
white wines are practically made for spring. Gruner Veltliner, for example, is light, delicate, refreshing, and
very food friendly. The classic white wines of Northern Italy are the perfect antidote when breaking the Pinot Grigio habit and curiously enough
two favorite Italian wine regions are Gavi
and Orvietto. The many
interpretations of Chardonnay
produced throughout the world are also worth exploring.
Of
course, springtime also marks the time of year when rosé wines are released.
Few things are more pleasant than a springtime picnic featuring salads,
sandwiches and a bottle of Rosé d’Anjou,
Tavel, something tasty from Provence or a personal favorite, Malbec rosé.
Don’t
forget about lighter reds! Dolcetto
and Barbera, both from Piemonte, are terrific Italian reds to
serve with lighter fare. Often overlooked, Beaujolais
is another really good call this time of year.

VINO PARA LA PRIMAVERA
La primavera se trata de disfrutar los simples
placeres de la vida; aquellas cosas que nos rodean constantemente en esta época
del año pero que a veces descuidamos o no apreciamos. El panorama y los sonidos
de la temporada son realmente una bendición y afirmación de vida y de su renovación:
climas más cálidos, el canto de los pájaros, el resplandor de las flores, los niños
pateando un balón de fútbol, y por supuesto, una copa de vino.
La primavera está llena de los sabores verdes; y con
tantas cosas en la mesa como el brócoli, los espárragos, y la coliflor, los
vinos deben de compaginar. Es fácil quedar encantado con los vinos
“primaverales” porque después de pensar bastante sobre los intensos, y ricos
vinos del invierno, uno puede aligerar los vinos. Naturalmente, la comida
primaveral, en su mayor parte, llama los vinos blancos y rosados.
Se tiende a beber más vino blanco durante esta época del
año; así que de regreso a la bodega, temporalmente, van los grandes y
abundantes rojos. Los Gigondas, Barolos, y el California Zinfandel reaparecerán en un par de meses, cuando se
prenda el fuego de los asados. Mientras tanto, disfrute de un Alsace o del seco alemán Riesling, del zesty de Nueva Zelanda,
del Sudafricano California Sauvignon
Blanc o del aromático Torrontés
de Argentina.
Este también es el momento ideal para probar vinos con
los cuales usted no esté familiarizado. La diversidad es el sabor de la vida.
No tiene sentido beber una sola clase de vino solamente porque es la única que
conoce. Imagínese comer el mismo plato todos los días, o leer el mismo libro
constantemente; de hecho, la vida empezaría a tornarse realmente aburrida!
Los vinos blancos australianos están prácticamente
hechos para la primavera. El Gruner
VeltlinerI por ejemplo, es ligero, delicado, refrescante y van con muchas
comidas. Los vinos blancos clásicos del Norte
de Italia son el antídoto perfecto para romper el hábito del Pinot Grigio y curiosamente dos regiones
favoritas del vino italiano son Gavi
y Orvietto. La variada interpretación
del Chardonnay producida alrededor
del mundo también vale la pena ser explorada.
Por supuesto la primavera también marca la época del
año cuando los vinos rosados salen al mercado. Hay pocas cosas más placenteras
que un picnic primaveral en donde
figuren las ensaladas, los sándwiches y una botella de Rosé d’Anjou, Tavel, algo
delicioso de Provence, o un favorito
personal, Malbec rosé.
No descuiden a los rojos ligeros! Dolcetto y Barbera, ambos
de Piemonte, son unos estupendos
vinos rojos que se sirven con comida ligera. Olvidado frecuentemente, el Beaujolais, una muy buena opción para
esta época del año.

LUIS MACHICAO
A few days ago I had the
pleasure of interviewing one of the most prominent Latin designers of the hour,
Mr. Luis Machicao. Born in Lima, Perú, and with a 25 year
trajectory in the world of fashion, Mr.
Machicao has accomplished international recognition. His designs combine
elegance, sensuality, and the style of the 1930s.
Machicao started his career in his
native Perú, where he studied fashion
design and sociology. After 4 years of college, this master of elegance travels
to Paris to finish his education and
acquire more experience, he then returns to his native land and works as a
costume designer for soaps and theater productions. Once in Lima, Luis Machicao creates his own designs, and shows off his first
creation, which was a total success. During this time, he meets the American ambassador in Lima and he introduces him to the
Peruvian First Lady, who falls in love with his designs and good taste and
hires him as her personal fashion designer.
After showing his work in
the finest catwalks of his country, Machicao
based himself in the United States, where his collections toured important
cities like Austin, San Francisco, Miami, Charlotte and New York. After conquering the American
market, Machicao traveled to Europe and exhibited again with great
success in international events held in Barcelona
and Paris, where he unveiled his
latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection at the Tiffani's
Fashion Week. It was there that he was named Best Designer 2014. Thanks to his great talent, he was hired as a
costume designer and image consultant for the American film industry, where he
had a few appearances as an actor. One of his most recent silent roles was in the
movie The Hunger Games, where he
interprets Donald Sutherland as one
of the capitol residents.
I asked Luis about his beginnings, what inspires
him to create a new piece, what kind of woman does he designs for, and how was
his experience with the Peruvian First Lady. And his answer was a simple,
direct and a professional one. This is what he shared: “Since I was a little
kid I knew that fashion was for me, I was always organized, I color coordinated
everything I wore; everything was to perfection. I always showed interest in
fashion, but it wasn’t until I had a chance to travel to Paris and assist in a few shows that I understood that my destiny
was that of being a fashion designer. My style is very retro, elegant and
sophisticated. My inspiration is based in the 1930s, that golden fashion epoch
where women dressed elegantly the 24 hours of the day. This is why I design for
the mature woman, feminine, sophisticated, one that knows her style, has class,
personality, attitude and a lot of elegance. Peru’s First Lady is that type of woman, an exquisite taste, who
knows what she wants. It was marvelous meeting her, she opened a lot of doors
for me and she helped me get more recognized. Through her I met and dressed many
of my country’s celebrities; it was definitely a very important experience for
my career.”
And about his future plans,
he concluded: “I want to continue designing beautiful collections, work on my
perfume line and present my clothing line both in Latin America as well as the
main cities in the world.”
It is without a doubt that
with his talent, Luis Machicao will
continue conquering the great catwalks of the world and enjoying the
recognition at an international level from which he already enjoys. We wish him
the best in his already successful career.

Hace unos días tuve el placer de entrevistar a uno de los diseñadores latinos más destacados del momento, el señor Luis Machicao. Nacido en Lima, Perú y con 25 años de carrera en el mundo de la moda, el señor Machicao ha logrado que su nombre sea reconocido a nivel internacional. Sus diseños combinan la elegancia, la sensualidad y el estilo de los años 30s.
Machicao inició su carrera en su nativo Perú, en donde estudió diseño de modas y
sociología. Después de 4 años de universidad, este maestro de la elegancia,
viaja a Paris para terminar su educación
y para adquirir más experiencia, luego regresa a su tierra natal y trabaja como
diseñador de vestuario para telenovelas y producciones teatrales. Ya en Lima, Luis Machicao crea sus propios diseños y muestra su primera colección,
la cual fue un éxito total. Durante aquel tiempo conoce al cónsul de la Embajada Americana en Lima y este lo presenta ante la primera
dama del Perú, quien se enamora de
sus diseños y de su buen gusto y lo contrata como su diseñador de modas
personal.
Después de mostrar sus colecciones en las más finas
pasarelas de su país, Machicao se
instala en los Estados Unidos, en
donde sus colecciones recorren importantes ciudades, entre ellas; Austin, San Francisco, Miami, Charlotte y Nueva York. Luego de conquistar el mercado americano, Machicao viaja a Europa y se presenta una vez más y con gran éxito en eventos
internacionales realizados en Barcelona
y en Paris, donde dio a conocer su
última colección primavera/verano 2014, en el Tiffani's Fashion Week. Allí fue
nombrado Mejor Diseñador 2014. Gracias
a su gran talento, llega a ser contratado como diseñador de vestuario y asesor
de imagen para la industria del cine americano, donde también realizó varias
apariciones como actor. Una de sus más recientes actuaciones fue en un papel
sin habla en la película The Hunger Games,
en donde interpreta a Donald Sutherland,
como uno de los residentes del capitolio.
Le pregunté a Luis
sobre sus inicios, lo que lo inspira a crear una nueva prenda, para qué tipo de
mujer trabaja y cómo fue su experiencia con la primera dama del Perú. Y su respuesta, fue sencilla,
directa y muy profesional. Esto fue lo que nos compartió: “Desde pequeño supe
que la moda era para mí, siempre fui organizado, combinaba todo lo que me ponía;
todo a la perfección. Siempre mostré interés en el diseño, pero no fue hasta
que tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Paris
y asistir a unos cuantos desfiles, que entendí que mi destino era ser diseñador
de moda. Mi estilo es muy retro, elegante y sofisticado. Mi inspiración se basa
en los años 30, aquella época dorada de la moda en donde las mujeres se vestían
elegantemente las 24 horas del día. Por eso diseño para la mujer madura,
femenina, sofisticada, aquella que conoce su estilo, que tiene clase, personalidad,
actitud y mucha elegancia. La primera dama del Perú es ese tipo de mujer, de un gusto exquisito, que sabe lo que
quiere. Fue maravilloso conocerla, me abrió muchas puertas, me llevó a ser más
reconocido. Por medio de ella conocí y vestí a muchas celebridades de mi país; fue
definitivamente una experiencia muy importante para mi carrera.”
Y sobre sus planes para el futuro, concluyó: “Quiero
seguir diseñando bellas colecciones, trabajar en mi línea de perfumes y
presentar mi línea de ropa tanto en América Latina, como en las principales
ciudades del mundo”
No cabe duda que con su talento, Luis Machicao continuará conquistado las
grandes pasarelas del mundo y gozando del reconocimiento a nivel internacional
del que disfruta actualmente. Le deseamos lo mejor en su ya exitosa carrera.
