THE VOICE OF THE UNDERGROUND
If music is the universal language (and we know it
is), then Ibiza United is the unifying voice of the underground
genre. Created by Antonio Piacquadio, Paolo Gasparini and Rob Toma,
affectionately known as “Los Americanos”, Ibiza United is an
international sensation that blends the many cultures of its world-wide reach
into one of the most enjoyable and entrancing, multi-media celebrations
imaginable.
Antonio, an entrepreneur, visionary and DJ says that “creating the proper dance
environment is the same whether you are playing music, designing a nightclub or
producing a festival -One has to understand what the audience wants and needs
and give it to them- blending the beat and the energy of the people.” Ibiza
United has
done all of the above. In Croatia, they have produced the OHM
Festival, in Miami, they have rocked the Winter Music Conference and
in Colombia,
they are the proud providers of the Black and White Festival. To them,
the Spanish flavor is of the utmost importance. According to Mr. Toma, without
the Spanish influence on underground music, you are missing its heart and
soul. Latin America is the beating heart of our scene and it is something we
hold very dear both personally and professionally.
Combining the liberating vibe of Croatia with
the Latin rhythm, spice of Colombia and the hedonistic joy of Ibiza,
Spain into
one perfect venue in New York City is the job of Paolo
-a man well-suited for the job. Paolo, himself, is a combination of
influences and worldly travel. “I can’t sit still. I travel the world and am
stimulated by so much. The world is a beautiful and inspirational place.” Paolo
is looking to share that beauty with those he calls his “extended family”
-the dance music enthusiasts who are sure to pack Space New York when it
finally makes its long awaited grand opening-
“Music is my release. It is how I express myself. I
know how powerful it is for me so I can only imagine how it affects others. When
you enter Sankeys Ibiza, I want you to feel, not just as a member of the
international community of partiers that is Ibiza United, but also as a
member of my family. I want everyone to have a deeply moving and personal
experience” – says Antonio.
If past success is any indication, then the Sankeys
family, with nightlife impresario David Vincent in
tow is going to have one joyous reunion in North America in the upcoming year.
With many more festivals and venues planned and year after year with increased
attendance, Ibiza United – the voice of the underground –
is getting louder and louder.

Si la música es el lenguaje universal (y todos sabemos que lo
es), entonces Ibiza United es
la voz unificadora del género underground,
de lo no comercial. Creada por Antonio Piacquadio,
Paolo Gasparini y Rob Toma, afectuosamente conocidos como “Los
Americanos”, Ibiza United es una sensación internacional que mezcla el
gran número de culturas mundiales a su alcance en una de las más fascinantes y
agradables celebraciones multimedia que se pueda imaginar.
Antonio, un empresario,
visionario y DJ, dice que “crear el ambiente de baile propicio, es lo mismo que
tocar música, diseñar una discoteca o producir un festival –Hay que entender y
darle a la audiencia lo que ella quiere- mezclando el ritmo y la energía de la
gente.” Ibiza United ha
hecho todo esto. En Croacia ellos produjeron el Festival OHM. En Miami,
fueron exitosos con el Winter Music Conference, y en Colombia,
son los orgullosos patrocinadores del festival Black & White Sensation.
Para ellos, el sabor latino es de suma importancia. Según el señor Toma,
“sin la influencia hispana sobre la música underground, se pierde el
corazón y el alma. América Latina es el corazón latente de nuestro panorama y
es algo que sostenemos muy querido, tanto en lo personal, como en lo
profesional.”
Paolo es el hombre indicado para
combinar la vibra liberante de Croacia
con el ritmo latino, el sabor picante de Colombia y la
alegría hedonista de Ibiza, España en un lugar perfecto de Nueva York.
“No me puedo quedar quieto. Viajo por el mundo; me estimulan tantas cosas.
Nuestro planeta es un lugar hermoso y lleno de inspiración.” Paolo busca
compartir esa belleza con quienes él llama su “familia extendida” –los
entusiastas seguidores de música dance, quienes aseguran llenar la
discoteca Space New York cuando
finalmente haga su gran y esperado debut-
“La música es mi salida. Es como me expreso. Sé lo poderoso que
es para mí y por eso puedo imaginar cómo afecta a los demás. Cuando la gente
entre a Sankeys Ibiza, quiero que se sientan como un miembro más de la
comunidad de fiesteros que hace a Ibiza United, pero además, como si
fueran miembros de mi familia. Quiero que todos tengan una experiencia
profundamente conmovedora” dice Antonio.
Si éxitos anteriores son indicio de algo, entonces la familia Sankeys, con el empresario de
la vida nocturna David Vincent a cargo, va a tener una alegre reunión en
Norteamérica el próximo año. Con muchas más sedes planeadas años tras año y
cada vez con mayor asistencia, Ibiza United -la voz de la música underground-
es cada vez más y más fuerte.
